WHAT ARE CHAKRA'S?

When we respond through emotions, behaviors, events, etc., certain parts of the body will need more energy than others.
From a purely physical perspective, our body has specific central places that correspond to certain behaviors and emotions. These centers have long been known as chakras in, for example, Ayurveda.

The word chakra comes from the classical language of India, Sanskrit, and means wheel or disc. Chakras are not physical entities. Just like thoughts and feelings, you cannot hold them. But just as emotions influence our breathing, heartbeat, and metabolism, the energies in the chakras influence our health—both physically and emotionally—our thoughts, and our behaviors.

By practicing yoga, breathing techniques, physical and energetic exercises, meditation, and visualization, we can influence the chakras and, consequently, our life and health.

As a massage therapist, I will look at your issue as a whole. Every form of energy influences the other. Chakras consist of both a feminine and a masculine part. The chakras at the front of the body are feminine; those at the back are masculine. They are energy points in our physical body connected to the spine. Each chakra is linked to various bodily functions, corresponding to nerve points, organs, muscles, and endocrine glands. Each chakra also connects to an emotional and mental aspect.

Overview of the Different Chakras

Below, we describe each of the chakras. To better understand the chakras and their influence on body and mind, it is useful to first become familiar with the character structures. The 7 chakras are:

Chakra 1.
chakra 1
The first chakra is our Root Chakra or Perineum. It is connected to the base of the spine and points downward between the legs toward the ground. It forms a connection between the subtle energy system and the earth. Its energy relates to the need for food and shelter—our basic survival needs.
Chakra 2.
chakra 2
The second chakra is our Sacral Chakra or Sexual Chakra. It is connected to the lower abdomen, genitals, lower back, and hips. Its energy relates to reproduction, sexuality, emotional identity, physical pleasure, and attraction in relationships.
Chakra 3.
chakra 3
The third chakra is our Solar Plexus Chakra or Plexus Solaris. Located between the lower ribs and the navel, this chakra radiates the energy needed for self-expression. Since the will expresses itself through this center, it is also called the power center. It is the place of self-confidence and purpose, but also of fear and anger.
Chakra 4.
chakra 4
The fourth chakra is our Heart Chakra. Naturally, it is located around the heart and is connected to social identity. It is linked to all aspects of love, as well as joy, respect, devotion, compassion, and “speaking from the heart.”
Chakra 5.
chakra 5
The fifth chakra is the Throat Chakra. Located at the throat, it is connected to self-expression and creativity through speech and writing. Expression, communication, and making your voice heard are its key aspects.
Chakra 6.
chakra 6
The sixth chakra is our Third Eye. It sits slightly above the space between the eyebrows. It is associated with self-awareness, wisdom, higher consciousness, clairvoyance, insight, visualization, and practical thinking.
Chakra 7.
chakra 7
The seventh chakra is our Crown Chakra. Located a few centimeters above the top of the head, it is connected to our universal identity. Wisdom, knowledge, and spirituality are its key qualities.

Chakramassage

A chakra massage is a massage with the use of essential oils. It brings you inner peace on an energetic, physical, emotional, and mental level. The goal of chakra massage is to stimulate, release, and energize the 7 chakras of the body.

Blockages in the chakras often arise from fear, unresolved emotions, processed foods, and negative thoughts. When this happens, energy no longer flows freely through the energy system. During the massage, we connect the chakras with each other, gently bringing the body into harmony and working to release blockages.

Typically, both the front and back of the body are massaged. Each chakra is treated gently with circular movements. In treatments of both sides, the massage starts with the first chakra on the back. Essential oils are added to the massage oil.

The background music supports you in each chakra, while the fragrance of the essential oil works on your system. Slow, circular movements open the energetic field, allowing you to enjoy the blissful effect on body and mind.

In our modern society, where the bar is constantly being raised, this often comes at the expense of our health. Increasing workloads lead to complaints and stress. Sometimes it is simply necessary to slow down and allow yourself some rest.
